The Moon's a Star

       Today, the moon is starring. Today, it's more important than the sun. It's got top billing. People all over the world will be watching what the moon does this afternoon.

      I thought about movies that have "moon" in the title, and came up with a few off the top of my head.

• Moonlight--a wonderful contemporary movie
• Moonstruck--one of my favorite Cher movies
• Man on the Moon--starring Andy Kaufman, a star that burned out way too early
• Paper Moon--an oldie but a goodie

      This afternoon I'll be out on the playground watching the moon pass in front of the sun, surrounded by my 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
